Through my career, I have been a retail buyer with Tesco/Boots and then crossed the table and worked as Commercial Director covering products as diverse as Christmas puddings to ready meals and sushi. I had an exciting career, launching many successful products and brands, growing categories and creating profitable sales.
Now I use that experience to help food businesses whether start ups or established businesses to overcome their commercial challenges and achieve the profitable growth that they deserve. I have written the Amazon bestseller “Recipe to Success – the ingredients of a profitable food business” which was shortlisted for Business Books awards 2018.
I deliver workshops on sales and marketing for a variety of organisations including Cywain, Business France, Enterprise nation and others. I speak at various events such as IFE, Speciality Fine Foods Show Food and Bread and Jam. I am also asked by the media for expert opinions on food retail issues, including the Grocer and LBC Business Hour.
I am also lucky enough to be a judge for Great Taste Awards, Grocer Own Label awards and Quality food awards and am a volunteer for Virgin Start up.
